The Wall Street Journal reports that "International transactions are 10 times more likely to be fraudulent than domestic ones," so there's a good chance that your bank will block your card when you use it overseas. To avoid trouble, check-in with your bank and let them know you'll be using the card differently.
Get the bank's international phone numbers (because you might not be able to use 1-800 numbers) just in case you need to call.
